Most of the leading football representation agencies<\/strong> were built around a former player, an already established name or a family network. Will Salthouse comes from none of these backgrounds, he never played at professional level<\/strong>, and nobody in football knew who he was when he filed his company's articles of association in 2008, with a single client on his books.<\/p>\n

A little under twenty years later, the structure he founded ranks among the five largest football representation agencies in the world<\/strong>. That gap between the starting point and the outcome makes his career path genuinely useful to a future FIFA agent<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Who is Will Salthouse?<\/strong><\/h2>\n

William Salthouse is a British sports agent<\/strong> born on 1 February 1981. He lives and works in England, where he has been practising since the mid-2000s. He is now the founder and co-chief executive officer of Unique Sports Group<\/a>, alongside Gordon Stipic-Wipfler.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

He holds the FIFA agent licence<\/strong>, which has been mandatory in order to represent a player or a club since the FFAR (FIFA Football Agent Regulations)<\/a> came into force. He also appears on the intermediaries register of The Football Association (FA)<\/strong>, where he has been active since at least 2015.<\/p>\n

Will Salthouse<\/strong> almost never speaks publicly, and his communication is limited to the official announcements made by his agency.<\/p>\n

How did Will Salthouse become a players' agent?<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Will Salthouse has no playing career behind him, and he was never a coach or a club executive either<\/strong>. His start in player representation came in the 2000s through networking, entirely outside any elite sporting pathway.<\/p>\n

He began by working with English players from the corridor linking London to Watford, an area densely populated with professional clubs and academies. Will drew on two separate networks, that of football and that of horse racing, an environment where owners, investors and sporting executives all cross paths.<\/p>\n

The activity took official form in 2008 with the creation of Will Salthouse Management Ltd<\/strong>, a company bearing his own name and counting just one client at the time. Two years later, it was renamed Unique Sports Management<\/strong>.
